RICHARD BURNETT,
PARTNER
Richard
graduated from the University of Virginia in
1967 with a BS in Commerce and from the
University of Georgia in 1969 with an MBA.
He has been a Certified Public
Accountant for more than 30 years.
He is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accounts, the
Virginia Society of CPA’s, a
former president of Piedmont Chapter
of the VSCPA and former board member of the VSCPA .
Richard served in the U.S. Army and
is a Vietnam veteran. He has been a member
of the Clarksville Baptist Church since
1956. He
currently resides in Clarksville, Virginia
and is available in the
Clarksville office each Wednesday for
the convenience for those clients who wish
to see him in Clarksville.
Richard’s hobbies include
collecting baseball memorabilia, especially
autographs, line dancing, golf, and postcard
collecting. |

 LARRY
P. SNEED,
PARTNER
Larry graduated from Virginia Commonwealth
University in 1975 with a BS in accounting.
He also, has an associate’s degree in
civil engineering.
He has been in public and private
accounting for more than 20 years.
Larry is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia
Society of CPA’s, the Piedmont
Chapter
of the VSCPA, South
Boston
Rotary
Club and the Sportsman’s
Club. H is a past
President of the Piedmont Chapter of the
VSCPA, and is a member of the Virginia Society
of CPA’s Peer Review Committee.
Larry was also in the Virginia Army National Guard
and served as battery commander for the
South Boston Field Artillery
Battery.
Larry is a native of Halifax County
and is a member the First Baptist Church of
South Boston.
Larry’s hobbies include reading and
exercise. |

WANDA
A. MARTIN, SECRETARY
Wanda
is a native of Mecklenburg County and has
been with the firm since 1986.
Before coming to Burnett & Sneed,
she was employed in the health care field. She
attends Florence Avenue Baptist
Church where she is
the pianist. Wanda’s hobbies include bluegrass
music, genealogy, and civil war history. |
KELLY
S. PHILLIPS
Kelly
graduated
from Danville Community College in 1999 with
an associate’s degree in accounting and is
currently working on a bachelor's degree in accounting from
Old Dominion University.
She has been employed with the firm for three years.
Currently she serves as treasurer for
the Halifax Volunteer Fire Association and
was the past
secretary for the Town of Halifax Planning
Commission.
Kelly’s hobbies include canoeing
and reading. |
